We are the Johnson family: Jake, Nicole, Vivian, Lane and Kimber.  We got our first Wirehaired Pointing Griffon back in 2020. Our male was given to Vivian to train and handle by a breeder from Iowa named Cliff Keole. Nicole and Vivian are active members of the Midwest Tristate NAHVDA Club where they have been guided in training and hunt-testing our Griffs. Vivi, Lane and Kimber are also members of 4-H where their project involves the Griffs.  

As a family we like to upland hunt and large game hunt. Jake enjoys duck hunting and mule deer hunting. Nicole enjoys pheasant and dove hunting. Vivian enjoys bow hunting and trap shooting. While Lane is enjoying small game, pheasant hunting and trapping. Kimber is a bit young to hunt so she enjoys tagging along for pheasant hunting and pushing the pedal to throw trap. Our WPG's are exposed to all aspects of farm life. From tractor to horses, goats, and chickens they are taught to respect the boundaries of the livestock and the implements that run a farm. 

At 5-J Griffons, we are building our reputation as a trusted WPG Breeder in Madison. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all our pets. That’s why the happiest days for us are when one of our puppies are adopted by a loving and welcoming family.
